Apple Reportedly Teaming Up with Third-Party for Self Service Repair Program

Though the memo didn't list an official reason behind the decision to onboard a tertiary-party parts provider, MacRumors noted that logistics could be the reason backside the move. In fact, Apple uses a similar organisation for Apple tree Authorized Service Providers.

While no official reason was provided, information technology would certainly be logistically easier for Apple to outsource shipping and receiving of parts to and from customers. A similar system is already in place for Apple Authorized Service Providers.

Additionally, the memo also said that the repair manuals will be bachelor via the Apple Support website, which doesn't come every bit a surprise since information technology is also where the company lists repair and troubleshooting details.
